hey trying to log into the server but it says its outdated?

The server doesn't update until Bukkit updates, so you can't play (unless you acquire a 1.5.1 .jar) until such time.

Two topics have been made about this already.
Just download and use Shadowcraft for the time being. It comes with optifine and is even made just for MineRealm.

1. Download
2. Go to .minecraft folder and right click the file called minecraft.jar
3. Move the mouse down and press the delete option
4. Find the file that you just downloaded
5. Right click on it, and select the rename option
6. In the text entry field that pops up, write "minecraft.jar"
7. Drag the file over to where the original minecraft.jar was
