MineRealm is running 1.5 now and here's my first creation, a hopper-powered auto-furnace setup.

Top two chests are for items to be smelted, left and right chests are full of fuel, bottom two chests are where the finished products end up!

Everyone post your lovely 1.5 creations for us to ooh and aah at!

I must have one of these for my realm farm build. All stone/stone brick walls. How do you pulse the hoppers to put in more stuff? Does the furnace pulse the hoppers as each item is smelted?

Basically, the chests auto-drop into the hoppers and the hoppers will fill the furnaces when the furnace has the space available. Then, the furnace dumps it into the output hopper which goes into the double chest. Very simple to build and quite nice!

I do have one question about this, do you still gain the xp from smelting or is that taken away because of the automation?

Also, do we have redstone blocks now?

Yeah forgot about that, but I can't remember the last time I smelted something for the xp. Anything I need levels, there's a number of grinders both public and private I can use.

And yeah, we have redstone blocks.

I might as well add my creation. It's a trapped chest which will allow only people who have realm permissions to open the door. Think of it as a button only realm users can push. This works fine on Minerealm

I got it about as small as I could make it, but the basic parts should be easy to modify.
