Before I get into the new idea, I'll just go over a brief history of the guild system.
Originally, the guild system used to be named the "Party system". It was nearly identical to the current system, except for a few minor changes.
Since being renamed to the guild system, we have also implemented the buddy system. Originally, the party system used to be the only way to chat with friends. However, with the buddy system, the guild system is no longer necessary for this purpose.

The Changes:
Since the guild system is no longer *necessary* for group chats, I suggest we improve it and make it more competitive.
Change A. Creating a guild will no longer be free. In order to create a guild, you must dedicate a realm as being a guild base. This realm must be owned by the primary guild leader. 6 users must gather within this realm (who will be the guild members)
Then, in order for the leader to create the guild, they must pay 150,000 credits. (15k/user if there's 10 members initially). Sure, it may not sound cheap, but being in a guild will be something you work towards, and will be a status symbol for the elite.
Change B. Guild will have a limited number of slots. When you initially create the guild, you'll only have 10 slots initially. Additional slots will cost the following:
Expansion #1: 50k (15 members)
Expansion #2: 150k (20 members)
Expansion #3: 250k (25 members)
Expansion #4: 350k (30 members)
Each additional expansion will cost 500k credits (for 5 slots), up to a maximum amount of 100 slots.
Change C. Guilds can create alliances. Up to 5 guilds can join an alliance. Guilds in an alliance will share the same guild chat.
Change D. There will now be public guild info about each guild. This will be able to be viewed by typing "/guild <name>" (similar to the profile command)
Change E. For the guild leader to disband the guild, they must pay 20k. It will not cost anything to join/leave the guild as a member.
Change F. There will be guild ranks. There will be the "Leader" (the person who created the guild), "Jr. Leader", who can add/remove members and set the guild MOTD (see below), and "Members", who have no special powers other than standard guild commands.
Change G. There will be a guild MOTD. This will display to the public when they type "/guild <name>", and will also show to all members when it is set.
Change H. There will be an in-game guild forum. Users can create topics and comment on them, ultimately leaving messages for other guild members.
Change I. In the future, there will be a guild point system, as well as the ability to battle other guilds. These features won't be decided on / implemented until a later date.
This is the basis of the new guild system. Please vote.
Thanks!
