And I'm sick of people using the argument of 'so that everyone gets an equal chance' for a map wipe.

If you wanna start from nothing, there is nothing whatsoever preventing you from walking to immaculate, untouched land and starting from scratch right there, and there's very little chance anybody else's level of wealth or development will affect you. There's no need to bomb everybody else too.

I've been here since gen 1 and lived through multiple maps and losing my work didn't give me any sense of euphoria. Most of the map was wiped very recently, there's all that to explore anew. If you've already covered every inch of that vast area of land and everything beneath it, and already desperately need yet another new map already, I don't know what to say except have your house checked for weird fumes.

i don t really want all my things erased for the pleasure of it. As you i did build my own self home sweet home.

But i feel that with this complete renewal of games mechanics ( breeding, enchantment, new biomes...) we are one feet in , one feet out.

I feel inconfortable about the idea of wiping your work by asking a full wipe. I understand it. Now i feel the time with that realease has come for a real new beginning. It s now that the things are brand new.

In some monthes, you ll have played solo for a long time and finaly won t have anything to discover with minerealm.

The adventure , the discoverng , making the first very fishing village that ll transform in a big city, rebuilding reanok with more and more people involved, is a challenge that really diserve we loose some of our actual deeds and make them good souvenirs from the past.

new players arrive and are told to go find public areas far far from center spawn... and are just isolated far far from your cities?

Yes there is a lot of non touched sites. But are we all playing a multiplayer game to play away from most of the server population?

so yes i understand your concern. It s a bit of mine too. But this is a game of challenge, a survival game. let's build something new and big ... altogether.

Current reasons against map wipe:
-It's taken many months to build these cities and accrue this wealth.
-There just was a wipe of over 90% of the terrain like two weeks ago.

Current reasons for map wipe:
-"I'm poor, so it's unfair if other people are richer than me"
-Edges of realms look weird (Which really, they always have and always will within large cities)
-"I'm tough, I can take it, do it and see how well I can take it, YEAHHHH BRO!!!"
-It would be better than everybody dying instead (Which... I'm pretty sure is not being considered)

Cheez, tragedies have many forms large and small, there are personal tragedies, and public tragedies. If you can only conceive tragedy as being massive, that is upon you and you alone. I will not be trolled into anything more than an explanation of what I meant.

So, simply put, a total map wipe would mean the loss of hundreds of hours of work by myself. I would say this is akin to losing a job that you worked at for many long months. This is no matter of frivolity for some people. I put serious effort into my work and I do not like the idea of them simply going away. So, to ME, this is a tragedy.

The people who've been working on acheiving wealth don't want it wiped. Why start over when you can go live in a deserted area?

The current map has only a small fraction of its space used up, and is fully up-to-date. Those together mean it has massive potential longevity. If there are no more major additions to terrain generation, the current map would remain viable for -years- before even a large portion of it is used up. There's no reason to wipe the map when it's still perfectly good and almost completely fresh.

And you seem to be arguing that any people who are rich on this server are innately bad and deserve to lose all their work.

The fact you can't even spell Roanoke is the reason we built it alone. We've seen what happens when many people are allowed to "build together". Just look outside any of the major cities to see what new people do to the land around them. No thank you.
