You imply that it wasn't them crashing the server before the boat was taken down.
That and they were able to give a countdown to server crashes.

Yes im implying it we've always had issues with crashes because of bukkit updates nothing new. As far as countdowns I wouldn't know haven't been on lately but my realm members haven't said anything about it. Got proof of them counting down maybe Intelli can chime in with his chat logs?

I've seen the picture, still find it dumb they our wasting thier time messing with our server. But I'm sure we are all used to the downtime anyway.

I'm amazed you are saying that we should just deal with the constant downtime, yet I'm still considered the person that is putting myself ahead of the server.

Simple there's a bazillion other games to play, I mean don't get me wrong I hate the downtime too but it's Intelli call on what happens with there server not our's he controls it so I don't see anyone can put themselves ahead of the server when it's technically his problem.

I don't think the constant downtime has anything to do with avo. First off there is no constant down time. Ive probably spent 30 hours on the creative server over the past 2 days(sleep? pshhhh) and have not had any periods where i could not log on for more than 5 minutes.

Second, minecraft servers are down all the time due to the game being in beta and notch not being the best net coder in the universe. Honestly i have not seen an increase in the frequency of crashes since avo decided to do whatever it is they are doing.

Third, Intelli had been re-working some chunks of code for the servers for the past few days so he has been knocking the servers down himself to update it.

Fourth, the 2 times avo has griefed us have been rather insignificant. This server is simply too large with too many people building too many citys/constructions/things for a small group like avo to do any real damage to. The lbg arena was fixed in 30 minutes and the airship, while it was big, was also ugly, simple and in a stupid spot.

As i keep saying, i just don't see the damage avo is doing. They have yet to have any impact at all on me personally, and most people on the server only know about them because the folks who made the airship have been incredibly noisy. Most people on the server haven't even noticed them and don't care at all about them.

If avo manages to smash a couple of the top ranked realms, or multiple of the top ranked realms, then i might be concerned. But messing up an eyesore at spawn? Crashing the server once when Intelli has crashed deliberately it 8 times that day? Forget avo being scary, they are barley even noticeable.

Pfft. Time and effort =/= beautiful or decent. The ship, while it's a pity it was griefed into oblivion, was an ugly and colossal waste of resources from the get-go.

Then again... so is the whole spawn city in my opinion, but that's irrelevant to the fact the airship was downright bad.

Geez, what a bunch of skinists. I never said ugly was bad, yall are just judging it unfairly, and the fact that yall jumped to that conclusion shows what yall actually thought about the airship. As anyone from terranobyl should know, i make incredibly ugly things. Several members are gonna blow up my tower in terranobyl in the near future on the grounds that it was beaten near to death with the ugly stick.

No matter how much time and effort and care you put into something, ugly is still ugly. Don't call something nice when its not, that hurts both the builder and you by creating false impressions and it demeans the structures that actually are nice. If its ugly, say so. Suger-coating is whats wrong with the world and its damaging the whole human race. Stop being all delicate and call it like it is.

Also, spawn city may get griefed, but its fun to have an area where you can just slap up a building and forget about it. Spawn city is where you build for the sake of building and no other reason. Most definitely worth it.

I would like to see other people make such colossal epic things like this around spawn. that was a lot of effort and people say it was "ugly" well, it wasn't COMPLETE

Blocks are never "wasted" at spawn... unless their tossed on the ground and left to decay.
I am one of the active spawn rebuilding team members, everything that has been griefed is always refurbished. certain buildings have been there since this server came up just about

so why not become a part of spawn city and her beautiful inhabitants?
