Do not want.

This system gives (additional, unfair) advantages to the wealthiest users in the form of taxes, /sethome manipulation and the ability to customize otherwise private realms.

Only the top 10% (wealthiest) of minerealm users will ever use this system. It extends no benefit to the everyday visitor, and exposes everyday visitor to the manipulative whims of a handful of players.

Frankly, I'm surprised Intelli would give existing player groups the ability to manipulate the server to this degree. Given the low maturity displayed by most players (and groups) on his server, how could this ever seem like a good idea?

So now if somebody pays 50,000 credits to get a country they could get booted off of running it!? THIS-IS-CRAP.

Don't take this post to seriously, because I'm in a half rage moment, but I am really freakin' disappointed with this...

I think countries NEED permission to tax any set homes in realms.

I own two realms which is expanding into a town, and there are 20+ workers/members who have /sethome here and more workers every day setting home in my new town... I find it TOTAL bullshit they should have to pay taxes to the country who has claimed all my realms.

100 credits isn't horrible for a /sethome but there is NO reason why we should have to pay Exodus just to set home. I have nothing against Exodus, but that's a tad bit BS.

I could not put together 50k to spend on a country so soon, and now Exodus has taken over all my realms... It's quite frustrating, Exodus has done no building or anything of the sort anywhere near my realms, why should I have to pay them just to /sethome?

Just my opinion... Really hoping for a change... (Seriously, I should NOT have to pay to set home in my OWN realm...)

This. The system doesn't add anything to most players. I could afford 50k, but it's not at all worth it just so I can tax players. Only the wealthier players really benefit...

all this is is just a way to waste credits. i think this is such a horrible add on to minerealm and adds more fights. just like today, Nox and NTC were fighting against realms and all that we got from this quarreling was a whole load of fighting and credit loss. that's it. The only people that would benefit from this would be the wealthy. in which case, the wealthy keep on getting more wealthy while other players who go solo and don't want to be a part of this country system suffer. all in all, i'd like for this country system to be removed.

Reduced country fee to 0 RC, and as soon as i can, will also be reducing the tax to 12%, as 20% is WAY too high atm imo, i set it at 20 like 10 minutes after the update without knowing you need to wait a week to change it again. :(

So really there won't be much change from the old system for those owned by the country of exodus minus a 2% increase in tax.

That's the point, giving old/rich players a use for all their excess creds.

No, that's exactly the opposite of what is happening. There is no way to earn credits from this, so how exactly are the rich getting richer? All they get is bragging rights. Stupid inflamatory statement is stupid.

How exactly are you suffering? A possible increase on transaction tax? Last time I checked, we solo players don't spend a lot of time in the trade room. That kinda goes with being "solo". Moreover, solo players tend to be builders. We earn our creds with picks and shovels. The country system doesn't affect this in any way.

Edit: One last thing for all the complainers - you complain about not being able to buy glowstone, then you complain about the system that will force hoarders to liquidate. Do you think before you complain?

Thank you. I appreciate it, that's for sure. I still stand by my words though because no doubt other countries will continue to charge credits for /sethome, I'm still very much against countries.

I like the /sethome fee becasue it allows me to filter out new and unwanted neighbors. I keep my fee at 5k. You want to live near me? All you need to do is ask, and I'll drop it to 0 creds for 2 minutes. If you don't want to say hi first, then you can pay.

this.

I just spend over 30k in a joint effort to start a Country in which Nox City will be in. We were all excited and people congratulated us in the in-game chat. In less than half an hour NTC was scouting all over our realms until they found, bought and destroyed one of our farms that was still in a public realm.

Of course this was so blatantly obvious and thanks to the mods and the admins the whole thing was rolled back and the intruder was told to sell and get out.

Immediately afterwards NTC started to conquer our realms in our new country, which was upsetting and this led in part to another heated discussion in the chat regarding complaints of NTC harassing. Then came the warnings form the mods and threats of temp bans if we didn't stop talking about it.

The whole thing was incredibly NEGATIVE and not only was it not a great experience to start a new country, it also cost so many credits. A few more encounters of this kind and I seriously doubt I will be staying with this server in its current form.

To argue that one doesn't have to take part of the Country politics, is a flawed argument imo, since any "Game" is a sum of its features and its natural to want to play along with NEW features. I want to play enjoy and have fun with "Countries" but so far it has been a pain.

So, I vote "No"
