If someone uses realms to try to grief a player, I have a simple method of fixing the problem. /ban [username] purchasing realms for griefing. Because of this, I would not expect it to happen, but that option is there .

So why wasn't this done a couple weeks ago when we had a rash of new players being driven off when their plots got bought out from under them? Not personally offended, just requesting clarification.

Quite possibly because that was during the week when I was offline, or just because I never directly heard about it. It is also possible that what the people were doing seemed at least partly legitimate to the mods/admins who reviewed the situation.

I know the voting is over but I would like to suggest an alternative nonetheless.

10x10 is too small as individual realms (I think the majority would agree).

It would be nice for cities to be able to sell/rent small plots of land within their realm though.

How about you leave the realm size 50x50 but add the option for the realm leader to do ''/realm rent <username> <price>'' on a 10x10 plot within their realm which would give the player he's renting to building rights within the 10x10 area.

''/realm add <username>'' would still add someone to the entire realm.

You would need something like ''/realm rent remove <username>'' as well though.
Also ''/realm rent users'' would be handy.

I don't know how hard this would be from a coding aspect based on the current code and database.

Pro's:
- New players will have the chance to get their hands on a small piece of land early on but only if a more veteran player trusts them.
- If the new player goes inactive the realm owner can remove the new player and sell the plot to someone else, this way there will be less useless little plots everywhere.
- Realm owners can decide themselves whether they want to deal with micromanagement or not.

Cons:
- Does not solve the railway/road building issues.
- Maybe hard to implement.
- Chance of new players getting scammed by realm owners selling them land and then immediatly removing them. (although that could also happen in the current version but doesn't seem to be a huge problem)

I think having both ideas put together would be the best.

Something like /realm purchase
and /plot purchase

realms being 50x50 pieces of land
and plots being 10x10 pieces of land

that way you can keep the old 50x50 realm purchase and have the expandability of purchasing 10x10 plots so you can make tracks, rent 10x10 plots of land more securely, and better all improve the mine realm existence.

kinda like my earlier suggestion except I was being a jew about it and wanted to get something out of what im donating lolz.

I like the both 10x10 and 50x50 idea, but with an added 25x25 plot size. Or mabye you could buy 50x50 plots and from there you could divide it into 10x10 plots, that way micromanaging is optional. Of course this would be a lot of coding wouldn't it?
