Whats odd is that this actually happened, in the game. The original poster asked for some info so I provided it. I mean, some people kind of want to know why people say things in the game, and this makes it easier for them.

Shouts about Lumina's history being utterly important, and then something about how you should always remember the SIA.

But Intruley, It was fun to write the Wiki page of Lumina's history, i recommend anyone with a well formed Realm or that knows about one that no longer excists such as the UGC's or Sky City, etc, should go write about it, I also will update the Lumina page with information from 3.0 soon.

Are you claiming that it's not fun?
Nope, I do find the game fun. I don't get involved in the more political side, I just play Minecraft the way it was designed to be played. If I want real life, I'll close out. If I want to escape real life, I'll join the game and go adventuring. No need to deal with power struggles and other stuff like that. Too much unnecessary stress for what in the end is just internet bragging rights. You could own all the realms in Minerealm.. you'd still be the same person outside of the game though. So, that just leads to my point.. Why make it more serious than it is?

I think you're responding to me.. if so, then I don't fault you for that. I myself am pretty confused when people talk about things I'm not familiar about regarding the server. I don't find it bad that you gave some history. But upon reading your information you gave, it just puzzled me as to why these events happened, and why people devote so much time and effort to something that is, in the end, a game. You could compare it to maybe someone getting way too involved and letting power get to their head in a game of Monopoly. It just doesn't make sense, and when you look at it from a bystander's point of view, it seems kind of silly.

This is the internet. Don't expect it to be rational.

That's what scares me the most about the future. And I'm not even one of those technophobic old-timers..

It's just having fun, taking more depth into a great game.

I think depth is putting it lightly. Bringing an economical system into the game is bringing depth. bringing in real estate is also adding depth. But bringing in ridiculous feuds, building enemies, and treating the game with more seriousness than a lot of people give to actual life, now that's crossing the line between adding depth and getting wrapped up into a virtual world.

You have no idea what the people on this server are capable of. If the name "Lightbulbs" doesn't mean anything to you, you are way too new to understand this whole matter. Just my opinion...

Now, some people would argue, that is how most games are played, What makes Minerealm the way it is, is the depth that it has added to Minecraft, It brings a game inside of a game. It adds Business strategies, Wars, Political Relations, all into a sandbox game, and no other server can do that.

And As Ramien Said:

Also the community, the rage that was brought, or love even, towards lightbulbs. Or the Echo Run war, or Cube Island, Anti-Greifer, and the SIA. If none of thoose things ring a bell then, as ramien said, too new to understand.

Yes, I am new, and didn't experience those things. But just think about it. All these "wars" and "conflicts" are just silly internet bouts. Once you close out of the game, they're over. It just doesn't make sense to make them something important in one's life. War itself in reality is a horrible thing.. why encourage or embrace it in this virtual world, where the community can build it to be a peaceful world, apart from our cruel real one? I just see that as making the game lose its real best quality; having freedom from any and all real life problems. Simple things are the most beautiful; why ruin it by making it complex and tearing the community into separate alliances.. Just seems like a waste of a perfect opportunity of developing a small society based on peace. But of course, as humans, most people will feel the need to bring dramatics and abusiveness with them no matter where they go..
