During a server save, there was an extended lag spike, and 80 sheep at my farm despawned. Mob limit was @ 92.

Yeah I lost 2 adjoining realms of villies to save lag, both around 25-30 per realm.
Yet the sheep on the opposite realm remain.

I've googled this a lot and no dice.
Definitely a minerealm issue, but why?

Not sure if just me but I've been busy so I'm not sure if the server was updated to 1.7.2 but I tried that and 1.6.whatever and that didn't work. Also can someone tell me if the public land is being wiped or not?

public land* Is being wiped.

*public land is land that is not contained / a part of any 3x3 grid of private land.

Basically what's happening is this:

*By default, public land will be wiped
*Public land will be wiped if it is part of a 3x3 realm area that is entirely public. That is to say, it will have to be part of an area that looks like this to be wiped (* is private, p is public):
p p p
p p p
p p p

If it is part of an area that looks like the figure directly below (with 'b' being the public realm of interest), it may be wiped, depending on whether it is also part of an area that looks like the first.

p b p
p p p

For example, if it looked like this, b would be wiped, because despite being adjacent to a private realm, it is still part of a 3x3 public area:

* p p
p b p p
p p p p
* p p p

The cheapest way to preserve a public area is to buy every other realm, like so:

* p p * p p *
* p p * p p *

Any public realm that is "sandwiched" between two private realms in this manner will not be wiped.

*Private land will NOT be wiped by default
*It will be possible for a private realm's owner to flag it to be wiped, in which case it will still not count as a public realm for the purpose of determining whether an adjacent public realm will be wiped or not.

Whew. Well, that's basically it for the wipe, I believe. Additionally, Intelli and Rokkr have been hinting about a new realm system, and possibly a new credit system. Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

and when I go into 1.3 (both versions) It says "end of stream"
this sounds really weird to me.

I'm getting the same weird errors. But it says theres 24 people online. Whats going on?

I was disabling mega portals, and getting kicked for each one I was disabling, and along with that I cannot rejoin now, I just time out.
