A swastika is diamond shaped (square on edge) and circles clockwise.
A manji is a flat square (not on edge) and circles counterclockwise.
A manji is a symbol of luck, peace and prosperity in most of the Asian and east Asian continent, and has been for hundreds, possibly thousands of years. It is also seen in Nordic countries in folk art.
The National Socialist Party, known as the Nazis, adopted it and turned it into the swastika.
Walk in to any Buddhist temple, and you will likely see a "swastika", actually a manji. It is actually a very popular tattoo for followers of the Buddhist religion.
TL;DR: The Nazi party managed to slander hundreds of years of folk art and religion in about 15 years.
Also, allowing swastikas wouldn't be supporting Nazism, but banning people for swastikas would be active oppression of Nazism. Besides, it isn't allowed anyways, so this whole thread is moot anyways.
