^this.

Bought 20 stacks of GS 4 months ago@10k/stack, before my internet went down.

4 months later, these 20 stacks of GS are now worth 300k, 100k profit without doing anything. :D

Soon since people have to buy it at 15k/stack to make a decent profit they have to sell it at 20k. As time goes on the rich get richer and the poor stay poor.

This is the story of life.
End of discussion.

You don't *need* to sell it for 5k higher than what You bought it for.. You can still turn a profit with even only 500 credits above what You bought it for..
The amount of profit I get should get me back more then what I paid for. By this I mean I don't want an 500rc profit when I can get a 5krc profit.

The problem is then people just use glowstone as a source of profit. That's what I don't like :/

I can't hate on you for doing that, it's obviously effective. I just fear the day when GS hits 30k/stack :X

What is with all of the /thread and /discussion and stuff? Pretentious much? No one here has made a debate-ending comment. Get over yourselves. Actually I guess it's just two people.

Anyway, I think it's perfectly fine to make a profit off of items, but I agree that there is a lot of greed in glowstone. It's basically the gas of Minerealm, only it's not necessary to live a "normal" life. Honestly, people should just learn other clever ways of lighting than just plopping glowstone everywhere in a room.

There's always potions as well as just lighting. If it were not used in potions I'd care less.

I find the current situation interesting/amusing from two perspectives:
a) Sellers that say "I define for how much I sell it", which may be correct but to be more exact: "I define for how much I try to sell it", because in the end someone has to buy it and if people aren't buying it for that price it isn't worth that price.
b) Speculating into rising Glowstone prices, lets face it there are 2 reasons to buy GS, 1. because you want to use it (for buildings, potions or redstone lamps) and 2. because the prices are rising and therefore you turn a profit by buying and selling it
At some point the first reason simply doesn't hold water anymore, because it is too valuable to use it for anything, using it as a building block may be done for a bit longer then the other two because you can retrieve it from the block, but in the end the price simply will be too high for anyone to waste the glowstone on anything.
Which leaves the second reason and that reminds me of a pyramid scheme, the people need to pay more and more faster and faster to keep the profit in relation to the investment. And in the end it will break down because no one wants to participate anymore.

I think it will be interesting to see if I am correct(and how fast it breaks down) or if the market gets stable once again (and at what price that will be). I would think that if it gets stable it would be somewhere around 25k to 30k but that would be just my guess, at what is the maximum before it is purely speculation on rising prices.

This should be perfect for avoiding more flame threads posted on people's Trade Thread attempts when trying to sell their own Glowstone. Please feel free to quote this reply so you players can clarify why you cry so hard about a game's fluctuating economy that is built off of a game's population that consists of demographics similar to games like Club Penguin.
The only one crying here is you, troll.

The price just went up again; I sold 58 blocks of glowstone for 18K (or 20K if you're looking at what the buyer paid including tax) ;)
