Maybe you could still get through. If you stand farther away and throw and enderpearl into the water, you might be able to hit the block on the opposite side of the barrier. Or even if you hit the block directly under the barrier, you might still be able to walk through even though there might be a few points of suffocation damage.

The chance of getting through would probably be reduced if the water flows through a longer distance that goes around at least one corner. That would eliminate the possibility of throwing an enderpearl to a safe area, and would increase the suffocation damage suffered by someone who tries to warp partway through. Of course, then the concern is ensuring that the donations that ARE supposed to get through don't get stuck on the corners.

Yeah king a bit late on the uptake there. Enderpearls began having teleporting properties when 1.0 minecraft came out. It's completely legit. I do however think you should take the advice of some of the people here and change it up since now everyone knows they can enderpearl their way into donation boxes lol...
