I voted dislike, as I like minecraft as it is, an independent, live on your own game at its core. The economy and realm things that minerealm adds are just welcome additions, because it doesn't alter that ability to be on your own. But this system forces you to be part of a country and pay taxes if someone takes over the area your realm occupies and it becomes part of a country. I don't want to be a part of any of this country stuff, but with this whole countries thing, I don't have a choice once countries start reaching the map borders.

I mostly like the idea, but I found a big problem. Let's say a small realm decided to join a country, just to be a part of the big community. Big, rich countries can and will attack. Yes, this is supposed to be a part of the country system, but countries full of hardcore players who play 24/7 will completely demolish the casual players. Noobs and casual players are at a huge disadvantage with this system. Now, I don't completely understand the country system as of yet, but this is my concern so far.

This. I like Minerealm cause you can have your own solitary confinement. It forces you to be owned by others. Also noobs will be like " Bububub whhhaaat?" (From a YouTube video). That's my 2 cents, don't bug me if you disagree.

I very much like it. It's fun. It adds a little competitiveness to minerealm. I really can't find a valid reason for why it's a bad idea. Good work Intelli.

And for those of you complaining about the taxes, idk why you're complaining. The credits taken from taxes goes directly into the country and can not be used as personal credits (or at least not yet), only to annex more realms or fortify. Just think of it as the server tax, it just might be beefed up a bit. If you don't like the high taxes your country is weighing on you, do like everyone does and has done, complain. If you get enough people to complain to the leaders, you might lower the tax rate.

But what I would like to see removed from the country system is NTC.

It makes trading much more difficult and unfair. Also, i bet in a month every single realm on the map will be NTC, or USA, or Canada, whatever. One country will rise up, and with the tax-creds, they can crush all other countries - like China

200x200 realms = 40.000 realms

about 400.000 creds and you are the winner of the game. 10 People can control the whole server. And with every day, they will get maybe +50.000 creds due taxes. Yay!

Ugh... the system will be removed due to people crying about something that they can A: do something about, and B: ignore almost completely. [saracasm]OMG I might hypothetically have to pay 25% tax IF someone comes to my realm and conquers them and is comfortable with paying it themselves.[/saracasm] Calm down, its not the end of the world and there will be changes to the system. I don't see why so many people hate it when all it really does is LOWER taxes to 5% for most people unless their land is conquered. Not even half of the land on the map is conquered yet, calm down. o.o

Considering that hundreds of thousands of credits have been invested I would hope so.

Current problem is there is no diplomacy between countries, Territories can be attacked at will with the need for declaring war, for those not on 24/7 day by day can easily have their countries steamrolled other by others.
How exaclty can we build lasting peace between countries?
There is also alot of micromanagement having to keep track of unit strengths in each realm, which makes war rather tedious, having to do a spot check on every single plot to check how currently owns it.
What is lacking is a server map with the countries territory displayed, which also makes it hard to tell where other countries are in relation to you and if you do attack a territory it is not immediately oblvious whom you're attacking.
