That probably will not happen for many years.

If that does, the map will probably be wiped or a new map will replace the old one.

Particularly since the Wilderness can be reset after major updates. I'd also like to add that Mojang seems to be moving in the direction of making non-renewable resources (e.g. gold nuggets dropped by zombie pigmen, iron ingots dropped by golems, diamond equipment sold by villagers).
