Then you can't see the MineRealm sign properly
Then raise it so that it's floating (or, alternatively, held up by a few pillars) with a drop into a small water pit. Gets rid of the stairs but keeps the rest of the design the same while maintaining (or even improving) the MineRealm sign's visibility.

Maybe just a waterfall around the edges, hmm.

Or a quick drop method. I agree that the place spawn should be floating and drop down into a beautiful ground level spawn, with a pond and dock, and other cool scenery.

To be 100% honest I liked the original spawn the one with the water slide going down I really liked that spawn it would be great if it could be recreated :D

I was thinking of dropping of a ledge into a pool, but a waterfall would be mostly the same. It would also be nice for those of us who miss the old 3.0 spawn :D

With a waterfall design, you could have one drop off on each side. A small enclosed pool of water at the bottom might look nice, and would also help avoid falling damage in case players get pushed a little bit forward instead of dropping straight down. Rather than being put below ground, the trade room could be moved up to ground level (since the staircases currently used to leave spawn would be unnecessary), making the view from trade a bit nicer as well.

Eliminating the staircases would provide more room on the top of the platform. A cube in the middle could be used to display the rules on each side, if desired. Additionally/alternatively, a ladder up to an elevated observation deck could allow players to see spawn from high in the air. A pit in the top of the spawn building could drop players down to the water at the bottom (passing through a hollow column in the trade area on the way down), which would be a useless but fun place to mess around.

The internal spawn building is really 'busy'. There's a lot going on, lots of signs just littered everywhere, 4 paths and the red wool. There's a lot to take in when you first /spawn. I feel like there's 3 things in my way every time I /spawn now, as a vet, and I'm sure as a noob people don't really know where to go, or even that we have a tutorial. Good design should be simplistic, clear to understand and see your objective, and easy to move around in. That's not to say the actual building has to be made of a square block of cobble...but it should meet those objectives.

In other words: anyone got a good picture of spawn #2 and the tutorial gardens?
