There are some things I would like to point out to the server.
1. Lag Exists
No matter how much you try to fight it, lag will always find a way into everything you do that involves being online. That being said, there is no such thing as being absolutely lag-free or having perfect latency.
2. Purple Text = Incoming Lag
You know that message that says "Saving server data. Expect some lag."? Well when that pops up, it means that the server is saving its data, and that lag should be expected. I don't want to hear 50 people after the save is done going "LAGGGGGG OMG LAG WAT IS THIS". Read the purple text people. I don't think it could be made any more clear.
3. Complaining About Lag Does Not Remedy Lag
Screaming to the server in all-caps that you are having lag issues will not reduce your latency in any way, shape, or form. Conversely, the best thing to do is try to refrain from any activity that puts stress on the server (removing or placing blocks, typing alot, etc) and wait until the lag wave passes.
4. Lag Can Be Caused By Your Own Computer Problems
If you are the only one having lag issues, chances are something is up with your computer. I always like to try and relog, that tends to work well for me. Not downloading anything whilst playing will also help to keep latency bearable.
5. Saying "Test" Is Okay
If I feel like my lag is getting annoying, I test public chat with a "test" or "lagtest" message to see how long it takes for a response. This is a totally acceptable message to say in chat as opposed to complaining about how annoying the lag is.
6. You May Get Auto-Kicked During Lag
Lag tends to set off the suspicious-movement and fly-movement kicks pretty commonly. If it is happening to you continually, contact an admin and turn off your hax0rz
