No one has made the triple iron trench which is possible. Would create about 3,900 iron a hour.

I don't see that happening anytime soon on MineRealm. We had it running 1200 per hour once so far and haven't been able to reproduce it. Regularly it runs 600 per hour, sometimes upto 800 per hour.

Okay then about 1800 per hour with three at the least.

I don't think there's any need to even make a double D:, and even though it would be better to be creative about it as Eah said, there really isn't a point anymore unless you're doing it for the redstone experience, because this is actually some pretty advanced stuff (even though the logic is simple, working with in-game code like village boundaries and using redstone to manipulate that is pretty hard to think about). The price of iron is just going to go down. I find that when trying to make farms better and better by the time I've made 3 of 4 designs, one better than the other, I already have way too much of the item.

The one thing I would like to see is a large iron trench at spawn with a little button that dispenses 5 iron for a noob to get a cart out of . Sure, people could spam this, but even with a single trench you're getting 3 carts per minute . I could build this if someone wanted me to, but either way I'd like to see it happen :3.

Okay after some more tweaking we finally found what was causing the Iron Trench to underperform on MineRealm. It currently runs 1400 iron per hour, which varies by how busy the server is. It ran 1150 per hour 10 hours ago when the server had over 50 people on it and lots of entities loaded. Over the course of 10 hours it ran on average 1305 per hour. Rebuilding is still possible, but will be only necessary if the server restarts/crashes.
