I've got the same thing, but its pretty much after every update that breaks optifine. Then when I get it running again on the newest version I dont see this or experience any of the other terrible rendering issues that I have with default MC.

Thing is, I have an Nvidia card and Minecraft has done this to me for a long time. Ever since I've had my PC, actually. This might be an issue with Nvidia's latest drivers for me? Not sure... Didn't have this problem with my 2011 MBP with Nvidia graphics.

Well I'm running an old Radeon on this computer. So perhaps its not just a client side issue?

Good to know it's not just one manufacturer.

When the fix comes out next week I'm going to run a fresh install using optifine (hopefully it's updated by then) and see how that pans out as I hear a lot of users get more FPS out of it over mcpatcher.
