I think this thread is showing why so many issues going on right now. There's really no GOOD reason to blackmail someone. It's a means of extorting what you want from someone by concealing something wrong or embarrasing they don't want known.

In ALL cases the blackmailer is in the wrong either for protecting someone that has done wrong in exchange for payment or by threatening to reveal privileged information without concent. I know in certain cases some people make a "for the greater good" or "to catch a bigger fish" arguement. In the end while your goal may be noble you're still doing something wrong even if you believe it's for the right reasons, you're just trying to take the easy way out when it's offered.

And since this is a game there's really isn't a "for the greater good" scenario in our case.

Just because someone has done something wrong does not make blackmailing them a good deed.

Kinda makes me want to get blackmailing on the list of things you should not do in minerealm forums, dunno bout in-game since I bet it wont be seen or it will be shunned. As I veiwed the list of rules in the ban section. I realised blackmail is exploiting, luring, and disrespectful as well as a serious case of harassment by those who voted. I will give more thought into this and come up with something soon or later.
