I voted for choice A, but if options B or C end up getting chosen, then at the very least please allow us to liquidate our realms and transfer our wealth to Minerealm 5.0 somehow. If everything I've worked to achieve on this server was suddenly made meaningless, there's a fairly high chance I'd never be seen here again.

If the map is changed, will our credits remain? If so, I'll start liquidating all my possessions/realms immediately.

I had a thought. Perhaps the current map could be made a temporary separate world in Minerealm 5.0 that players could warp between. Until it is eventually removed, players would have the ability to sell their realms and transport their materials onto the new map. This would ensure that the countless hours many players have put into the server still count for something.

Also, if credits aren't meant to be a permanent part of Minerealm 5.0, then something should be done to compensate players for their credits depending on how the new system works.

I voted option C, however would be fine with option B.

I see no point in creating a new map, if those who were rich in the old one, will simply remain rich in the new one, as it will effectively be the same old, just with a different environment, so for these reasons I would hope that if either B or C go through, then there will be a complete wipe of everything, effectively leveling the playing field out once again.

From what I can tell in chat, the majority of people who are voting B/C are voting it so they have a new challenge, with the fight for spawn realms/glowstone happening all over again.

Also, as the items that would have been transferred from a different map, and world - would they not count as being spawned, as they were not legitimately gathered from the world they are being used on?

Why do people keep talking about the possibility of a new map and realms? Where does it say the realm system would be transfered to a new map?

*sigh* What happens when minecraft updates again? Do the same thing? Lose everything again? I sure hope the new system compensates for minecraft updates (new blocks, mobs, biomes, etc.) without players having to lose time and effort or creating a jigsaw puzzle.

The current system is getting kinda dull. I'm happy to see some kind of excitement. Though, I've been so attached to minerealm, I don't know what kind of change is needed. I guess Intelli can think up something. I enjoy seeing what he can code up.

If lag were reduced, I think the difficulty level should be stepped up (because mobs are much more dangerous on multiplayer w/ lag). And if plausible, the End should be brought back. I agree with implementing full pvp in public land. Full pvp in private land is just...too non-friendly. You couldn't have people come see your build without worrying about them murdering and looting you. Pvp interaction must be at your own will.

Anyway, all new players would be on the new server while the old server would be played by veterans who wish to continue their minerealm life they've built. However, it would become a ghost town. It wouldn't feel good playing with so few players. And eventually, the average would fall below 10, maybe instantly. The shutdown of old minerealm would be due to the new one having the game.minerealm.com IP and jungle biomes. If the old map goes offline, I would certainly like it to be up for download.

I would like to choose option B for jungles. I don't have much to lose. But I do not think that compensates for the loss of everyone else's builds and players if the old map goes offline. I refuse to vote.

The MineRealm survival map is now deemed permanent, and will not ever be wiped in the future.

Thanks!

The map is never wiping

-We also don't plan on ever resetting public land either, due to projects such as the subway, etc, which now exist in public realms.

Should we have to endure a flip-flop on this long-held position, I would hope we could at least keep something from the current map, such as accumulated credits or a limited number of items of our choosing (e.g. keep all player data, including inventory, if/when a wipe happens). It's not so much that I don't want to lose anything... I just don't want to lose everything.

Edit/Addendum:
This guy is smart, you should all listen to him:
