^Sotrue.

I've never had a problem with RWT, if people want to use their money earned IRL on a virtual currency, then i'd say we should let them. It still gets taxed.

This would also spread more of the servers wealth to different players, allowing more citys, and nice builds to be created. How many players can honestly say they're worth over 1 000 000+ credits, and could make a large enough sum from selling RC for IRL money, i'm guessing less then a handful, if even that.

Please, stop turning your new found personal greed into so called "help for the server".

How many could be, by using their parents credit cards and then flood the server's economy with their newfound wealth, knowing they can just buy more when they run out?

Then they would be breaking the law, even if its their parents, that's called fraud, this would also not "flood" the economy, as the RC would already be in the economy, and would probably be earned legit.

Actually, i've sold almost all my stock ~300k, and probably won't be selling RC for RL for a while now. So me making profit IRL, and this thread, have nothing to do with each other. As i probably will no longer be selling, whether the rule is passed or not.

He isn't talking about fraud, or taking money. He is talking about kids with wealth becoming top of the economy knowing they can just top up.

Well, why are you campaigning for it knowing it would only end badly?

Actually many parents allow their children to have free reign of their credit cards for use on XBL points, Minecraft server donations etc, just because they are using it, doesn't mean that it is being used without consent.

Yes, the RC would be in the economy, but the chances are that the players with wealth large enough to sell off chunks of it would have been saving it, and would not have invested it into items as the RC's new owners would. This could potentially lead to a massive decline in the buying/selling price of items, making life even more difficult for those people who resent using RL money to fund in-game operations, as they will be able to make less money from sales than they would have been able to before.

I think it's simply cheap if someone uses money as an advantage on a minecraft server. This reminds me of servers where you can donate and you get diamonds in return (Even though in this case the money doesn't go towards the server.)

Anyway, if you want to ask questions like that take it to PM's or something, not derail.

Voted no. Reasons? This is just wrong. The downsides of this are crushing. The potential blow to the already near-random MR economy would be crippling. With the value of credits suddenly dropping into the toilet, items would become painfully expensive, putting players who legitamately earn credits at a significant disadvantage. You can effectively rewrite this into anything you want. People could theoretically just start farming credits instead of actually building. When they realize that they aren't building anything on the server anymore, the fun factor vanishes. Then it's just people using MR to make money for THEMSELVES, money that isn't going into the server, money that is being obtained at the expense of players actually enjoying themselves. Intelli asked in the beggining if players should be banned for RWT credits. I say that they should. It damages the atmosphere of the server, and encouraging it would do the server little to no good, whilst harming it in the form of ruining the fun of obtaining things through vaild effort.

TL;D-No. Read it. understanding the reasons behind the votes is important when being a part of a democratic system.
