I would build a house to have my stuff in because I dont want to die and lose it all, so basically "I wont be able to protect my stuff until I have 60 diamonds.

We started the first survival servers without chest protection, without griefing protection,and without realms in general. Toughen up, we all may as well be delicate daisies with the new systems being put in place.

- I think railroad tracks placed outside of your realm will just bring problems. If it's outside of the realm it should be public. I don't care how big the mine is. :|

Parties are little more than chat channels. If you're a member of a realm you can build in that realm. This was a compromise for those of us who missed being members of multiple cities and being able to help all of them on any given day.

The system wasn't fine. At the moment, there are tiny groups of people who can go out, sanction off a 900 m^2 plot of land that only they can enter, and play barely once a week to keep the thing alive. These cut off the growth of some of the truly great realms, ones with a dedicated population and brimming with innovative ideas. If you want a realm, work for it. If you can get a realm, work harder.

The protected railroad tracks are most likely for interrealm railroads. Obviously they can be used for more than that, but transportation between realms is the most obvious (and useful) purpose.

Also, I'd love to see some extortion of the big realms with this new system. Get 60 diamonds and plonk your realm right next to one of them, then demand 100 diamonds to move. Rinse, repeat.

Okay, what would you guys think about:
Plan A. 20 Diamonds initially, and then 5 diamonds per week or something (rent). Perhaps cost more for more players, I don't know.
Plan B. Reduce the limit of creating a realm to 4 players, but increase the cost of diamonds from 60 to 80 or even 100.
Plan C. 20 Diamonds initially, and then there must be block activity of something like >500 blocks moved per two days , otherwise realm is disbanded.
Plan D. 20 Diamonds initially, and then 4 diamonds per 2 days until the realm exceeds 100x100.
Plan E. 20 Diamonds initially, and must have a Donor in the party for the realm to be created. Donor must remain in the realm. Leaving gives a 3-day stasis period for the realm to find another Donor.

Judge these concepts, not just the pricing :S.

These are hypothetical, don't rage if you don't like them. Thanks.

I like plan c a lot. It lowers the cost and gives people a motive. As long as the blocks already placed inside your new realm count for expansion I am all for it. I don't like that you have to have a certin amount of players to create a realm but that wasn't mentioned in plan c.

I also have an idiotic question. What exactly is this "party" thing we are talking about. I know it's a dumb question but I am just a bit confused.
