Being able to set up multiple spawn will be awesome, gives new players a reason to stay here. Why? Well when people join new servers they like to see fully built structures. That assures them that the server is active with tons of people on it. Not only that, but it makes it easier for new players to find public land. Hopefully we won't hear anymore of this "Where do I build, where's public land, dude wtf I can't build here, etc."
But, I'm going to coin a term here - "Spawn Hopping" could occur. Now user-created spawns must be 1,000 blocks away from each other EDIT: and the spawns must be within a realm. That being said, if you are standing on the halfway point of two spawns (let's just say you know where two spawn points are) and take a few more steps you could essentially /spawn and travel 500 blocks to the next spawn. EDIT: Also, this may only be possible to do within 2,000 blocks of main spawn, at least for a little while. Once more realms start up near the new spawns, people will be able to set more /spawns and spawn hop just a tad bit further than before.
Although this is possible, it may or may not last forever, here's why. Staff have to approve of your spawn point, if too many spawns become active it will become more difficult to "spawn hop" the direction you want to go unless you follow your coordinates very very carefully. Only thing that is required of the player is moving +500 blocks in some direction, assuming more spawns are nearby.
tl;dr Spawn hopping could be a result of this, but most likely NOT to the player's benefit. I also apologize for being very analytical all the time.
