So, I am not sure how many others were around when Lightbulbs snapped(this was a long time ago), but he sent out a message that was removed manually by an admin, and now the Private messages thing still reads "1 new message".

This is quite possibly the most annoying thing ever. Almost as annoying as the glitch in Fallout: New Vegas when aa quest broke and it kept telling you the optional goals on the side of the screen forever no matter what you did.

Can anything be done to make the message go away?

I was there. I got the message. My thing still reads 0 new messages.

Yeah I never really noticed it much.
But it doesn't bother me.
