I don't suppose you guys have "timed" bans, do you? Like, say you'll get a week ban for spamming. Or a day ban for swearing. Because right now, the punishment for what I did (grief a small, unused and abandoned hut on the edge of spawn city) is the same as what team avo did to that giant Airboat. I feel like the severity of punishments should be based on the severity of the crime. Additionally, theres usually a minor punishment reduction or a shortened sentence if someone pleas guilty and admits to the "crime", and in my case I did. Does the same thing apply here?

The rules are the rules and are not prioritized in any way. Breaking any of them leaves you with a warning/ban at the mods discretion. Typically a ban. Plea bargains only work when proving someone guilty would be considered difficult or costly and since it takes a mod 5 seconds at most to ban someone, plea bargains do not apply here.

I was honestly hoping that no one would touch this thread ever, because it's just as pointless as the other 3 or so, if I haven't missed count yet. Making new threads every time you want to appeal your ban is very counterproductive, and will only hinder in any possible appeal, but that isn't ever gonna happen.

Do we really need a previous offender on the server? No. We have massive waves of new players, which outsource those who have been banned for breaking rules. When a person is banned, they did something counterproductive to the server. The server became a little bit better when they are banned.

In response to the severity of the crime, does it really matter? The guidelines are stated, therefore they must be followed.
