Dear Minerealm staffers:
I noticed that upon logging into minerealm last night that I have been banned. Upon entering minerealm forums, it appears I may have been banned due to a program that looks at previous mining.
First off, let me say yes that I have used x-ray a few times previously and I apologize for that. I bought minecraft less than two weeks ago and very much love it. One GIANT problem I had in my first week of playing was that I NEVER came across any diamonds. I understand the element of searching for diamonds but never coming across any got really old. Having to constantly replace iron pickaxes after 5 minutes almost became game breaking for me.
I told a clan mate who plays and he told me that he could install a mod that could help me locate diamonds when I need them. He teamviewed me and I was finally was able to obtain a few diamonds. Keep in mind as a nub player I didn't understand what I was doing. When I logged in I made my first run some ores and was able to obtain my basic diamond digging tools and a couple of backups. I never sold any items for profit or gave them to anybody. I would say I maybe went on 2 more small runs again when I never discovered any more diamonds while digging and my equipment ran out and got tired of replacing iron pickaxes. I just discovered there are stores that I can buy my tools with realm credits if I can't buy any diamonds for pickaxes and shovels which are the only reason I need diamonds.
I now more than understand how people could exploit ore farming and screw the economy. I am a veteran of mmo's and know that farming ruins economies and appreciate what you guys are doing.
If unbanned, I promise not to use x-ray again. Again, I am a very new player on minecraft and on minerealm. I have 1 realm which I have worked hard on didn't cheat. The only cheat I used was to supply myself with diamond pickaxe and shovel which as above stated I just discovered I can buy at a store with credits. The good thing that came out of using x-ray as a new player is that I have a wayyyy better understanding of where to look for ores I need without cheating. For example, when I need diamonds for pickaxes I need to look around the bedrock.
If not unbanned, can you please refer me to a place like this server? I really like the property setup and the new banhammering.
