I was just banned VVolfie - I was online - nobody said anything.

Whats up?

I'm going to assume it was because I was trying to repair the subway in the Nether area near my portal - for the last three months I've been having to remove lava and repair the lines... Someone keeps knocking out the ceiling and allowing lava into the station central, and taking all the power rails.

Today it took me an hour to get the lava out and I was taking down the rails, fixing the bedrock, and getting ready to relay the track. Most of the power rails were gone, so I needed some more iron to make them, and was in the process of getting ready to do that so I could relay the tracks.

Otherwise, I can't imagine why I might of been banned.....

Why didn't you ask staff for help? Knowing staff were online.

My son asked and apparently this is exactly why.

And the reason I didn't say anything is two fold ....

1) Most of the damage was and is OVER 3 months old - and even though lots of the "rail sections" were there, none of it worked, and hasn't worked since around October. And as far as I've heard previously, you can't roll that back that far.

2) All the power rails were already missing (most for months) and I needed to make new ones, and replace the power conduits

3) And when I started fixing it, about 4 hours ago, there weren't any staff on.

And honestly, it needed to be modified so it works right, it was really messed up structurally.

I'm just a bit frustrated that nobody bothered to say - "hey, whats up?" I'm on a lot, and I always contribute and fix things, you know I'm not a griefer.

Because I removed the rails ---

Necessary in order for me to redo the bedrock - they had netherak under them, and there were huge holes in the track, the walls, etc, where people just dug into and through the area, the netherak breaks easily, so brick will be better for the track, fewer breaks...

I was going to start by laying down brick. And opening a new tunnel outlet junction to a new split that I think xsyntaxerrorx ran into it.

The main junction where the 3 old and 1 new tunnel ran into, was full of lava today, and someone had knocked out the portal there. None of the start tracks, switches or platforms were there anymore.

Sadly this part is close to a tunnel that comes from spawn, and a lot of short lived griefers get to it easily and deface it.

I meant prior, you claim to have been fixing it for 3 months, why was staff never notified earlier and could have fixed it?

Its been a mess for quite a while, I just ignored it before.

I recently figured out that part would be useful for getting around to different parts of the outer world, so decided to fix it.

I guess I should of "asked someone" before I decided to work on it since its one of those half day projects, not a quickie. But silly me, I figured since nobody was keeping it up anyway, nobody would care if I put some work in and fixed it up.

You just said you been cleaning it for 3 months so it seems like it's been longer than a half day project. How exactly can staff keep things up if players take the griefing into their own hands and never report it? You've been cleaning it for 3 months and not once did you report it and "cleaned/fixed" it. I'm not saying you were griefing, but waiting and not telling us these situations eventually come to this.

If it was reported back around that time then it possibly could have been rolled back, the data can vary from time to time. But I have seen logs plenty far back before. So as you can see, you have been ripping up a area with not recent logs other than your own so of course it would look like griefing and VVolfie didn't see you online at the time or missed your name so she made the decision to ban you and appeal.

Rokrr, I don't always go crying to staff to fix things, I guess I should, but I figure you guys have plenty to do without it.

So its all a misunderstanding? Yes or no?
