I'm not sure if you've been outside of spawn much lately, but...you can paint a pretty picture but that doesn't mean the frame will be made with the same quality. I understand, you want to paint the picture that our server looks nice. But outside of spawn, its like a bomb went off, and people are trying to rebuild. Ael, who has the right to say someones build is ugly and an eye sore? Thats like me saying Intelli's tower is an eye sore and I think it should be removed. But that is his build and he likes it. Roob may take her time as she pleases, I'm sorry to say this, but ya'll need to realize that there is life outside of minerealm. There is an overflow of people that go into minerealm each day, do you really think that one build is going to kill the experience...I'm pretty sure one thing you hear EVVVERY time is "where can I build?" For god sack, maybe she is trying to make a cool design and she can't decide what she likes better. Oh oh maybe she is building a mega fountain but it just doesn't look right yet. IF it is actually a rule, then you already broke rule #9, have fun. That should be a ban right there for disobeying a rule. Because it seems as Roob is having fun making something interesting.

As for Torn reporting a "concern" on a build..what rule says a build has to be build by a certain time? Hell if that was a rule, then vvolfie should be banned right away :p

It's entirely a matter of your delivery. There ARE ways to tell someone that their build sucks, and you think they're an idiot without being rude, insulting, or making them feel bad. That was not one of them. You may wish to study up on tact and diplomacy during your break.



Fnd: Ultimately, Intelli has the final say on builds at spawn. His server, his rules. And while we don't really care about builds further out (so long as they are appropriate), the builds at spawn are part of the first impression, and are extremely important. It ties into realms becoming EXTREMELY expensive as they get closer and closer to spawn.

The only real issue I see with this is it seems to be brought on only in spite of the previous request on torn. And no matter what you think of roo's ban request, a request as a rebuttal just seems a bit immature. Seeing as Torn is a staff member and is thus meant to be a person to look up to in game having this type of argument isn't something the player base needs to see. It should be more of a personal discussion in my opinion, both among staff and Roo.

No, it's the other way around; the price is increased because the REALM matters. The high prices are a sign of the realm's general importance and prestige, hence why the very best actually come with a sort of code of building.

Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it.

However, this is somewhat beside the point - even if a realm a thousand blocks out from spawn somehow became as sought-after as a spawn realm, the attractiveness of the build there would not be an issue. The spawn realms' appearances are important because of the realms' locations (as the first view a new player has of the server), not because of their value in credits.

It should look as impressive as possible, so as to intrigue newbs. However, it must at least look good, even if it isn't on the level of the Arcane Orb; bad builds could cause newbs to form a bad opinion of the server to start with, and that's exactly what we don't want. As for what "good" means, it means that our glorious leader judges it to be a good representation of MineRealm's awesomeness, not an eyesore, and, most of all, awe-inspiring so as to attract newbs.
