Yes, you're right, but why should one player get banned for doing the exact same thing as someone else and that other person not get banned

Who knows, perhaps the circumstances were different. Maybe a single staff member watched him break this rule multiple times over the course of several days and this was not the case with the others. Maybe he swore/avoided the filter much more often than any of the others. If staff felt his actions were severe enough for a ban, and that others' were not, that is their decision.

Other vets swear in chat too and I don't see them getting banned, just warned. And I was just mad about what happened with Silver. Also, just saying, you can't perma-ban Silver without a valid reason. But I do admit I went a little out of line when I sweared. And I am sorry for that.

Also, VV has offended me multiple times via public chat. And you don't see me ban requesting her for that. But I even asked her nicely to stop saying my private info in public chat. But she said something like this: "Just deal with it"

When banned for breaking a rule, the smarter (and more mature) thing to do is admit and apologize for the wrongdoing and prevent it from happening again. Saying that it is unfair and that other people have done it is not relevant to the fact that a rule was broken, and judging from what has been posted so far, broken multiple times on a consistent (daily?) basis. Responsibility should be taken. Rules are rules, and a ban is a ban.

Maybe it's because when they are confronted about the situation they don't sign off.

Several of us said something to cobaya and he not only ignored it but then signed off after saying "screw this" which I know he was angry but he still has no rights to break the rules and then ignore staff when confronted.

Note: Cobaya has backseat mod for quite awhile warning new players for pretty much the same things so he really should know better.

In short tldr; He shouldn't have basically ran away and took a warning.

I've seen MANY active players swear once in main chat while staff was on and they dont ban them. I even recall 08 swearing in chat, and you gave him a strict warning, but no ban. Also, 900th post!

Lets not drag my name into this as I have not cursed in private chat since, and that is the only curse Ive said in chat sense the afking incident. I do recall many other vets doing the same thing cob has though. That is all, please dont drag me into this

The difference between what you're doing and what 08 did is that when 08 was confronted he didn't proceed to say "screw this" and log off. 08 Took what I said with a grain of salt and apologized. You keep saying "I've seen other people do this and get off with a warning." But as I've shown you I ban regulars who swear in main chat despite who they are, especially when they do it not only on purpose, but clearly with no remorse when confronted. I linked burt86's appeal to you, who is a decent friend of mine that I had to ban for swearing. Stop using other people as human shields to avoid taking responsibility for your actions. He WOULD have gotten just a warning but he ignored both rokkr and I, left a crude comment, then logged off. You should not NEED a warning, you know the rules, and that is the end of the story.

Ok, I'm sick of all this arguing that I started just by swearing. What I did was very wrong, and I apologize for it. I set a bad example for all the nubs that were on. It was a stupid move of me. I should've known and not have done it or just do it in buddy chat or other chat. May I please be forgiven and come back to my favorite server? I will respect your decision whichever way.

You got it easy.... I was clean for around 3 months did nothing bad. And in an ad i did **** I didn't cuse I literally did those symbols and banned. It's a matter of we've been on the server long enough and should know better.
