About Yourself: I'm wrapping up a BA in East Asian Studies at the moment, as well as looking for employment. In my off time, I of course play a good bit of Minecraft, 99.99999% of it here. Beyond that, I'm an avid reader, and fairly hardcore gamer, with my preferences being fantasy and RPGs, respectively.
Qualifications: 300+ posts. Over a year on both server and forum. My ability to speak clearly and correctly, which I should hope speaks for itself. In the real world, I was one of the student leaders for marching band back in high school, including a year as drum major. In college, I spent about three years as an armourer for our fencing team, doubling as an informal safety officer. In both these positions, I had to basically heard cats, keeping discipline and order. Furthermore, I comprehend that the point of rules is to make the forums a worthwhile place, and that they are generally not simply arbitrary.
Why you deserve this position: While at this point it's almost cliche to say that a staff position isn't something that's deserved, I do feel that it isn't. It's a responsibility, one which I wish to take on for the betterment of the community. I've been around for over a year on both server and forums, so I believe I know the rules and community fairly well. I'm also usually one of the people answering questions in-game, though I try to do so in a manner that points people to where they need to go to find out, so that they can potentially answer some of their own questions later.
Availability: Generally, if I have a computer on, I have a tab open to the forums. I'm typically asleep from midnight to 0800. MWF I'll be unavailable from 1000 to approximately 1200. Tues/Thurs I'll be out from around 1300-1530. Monday I'm also unavailable from 1600-1900, and Friday I'm out from 1800ish to midnight. Otherwise, I might be out for an hour or so to eat with friends.
Anything else you wish to add: In the interest of full disclosure I have been banned once. This was during the time when the xray banning algorithm first began checking for gold, and I was of course completely innocent. Beyond that, however, I've had several veteran server members ask me to become a mod, and others agree that I would do a good job of it.
