Real Name: Robert L. Matchie
Age: 25
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Time Zone: -6:00 Central Standard Time
About Yourself: My name is Terry, and I am an artist, which specializes in the anthropomorphic arts, and in comics. What I do most of the time, when I am not working, as a call center service representative, is play Minecraft. I also tend to study up on how to be a better customer relations representative, striving to bring the best service that I can possibly deliver.
Outside of that, I tend to hang out a lot on the minerealm forums, bringing out decent advice to many members, critiquing those that most certainly can learn from it, and hoping that they can learn out of their experiences.
Qualifications: As an artist, I strive to network in as many places as possible. These experiences have landed me as registration staff at the MESA event, Wild Nights. As a result, I've learned how to help run a system where many people ask questions, helping them out when need be, and volunteering my hours where I am needed.
My greatest attributes lie in assisting those that are in need of help, being patient with them until they are satisfied, and showing them self-help options where they can help themselves in the future. These skills lie from my 7+ years of customer service skills, ranging from casino work, to phone services.
Why you deserve this position: On a whole, I am a teacher, trying to educate many people about the ways of this server, calmly explaining the rules as needed, making sure that everyone gets warned if they get into mischief, and calling in the mods as needed. I try to make sure that people get a fair trial, and offer as much advice on how to make a better appeal if they get banned.
Also, to learn even more about relating with the people of the server, I've started pvping in the nether with my friends, as well as opened up a shopping district, so that I may better trade with people, and bring about a better game to play with everyone. Lastly, I tend to help clean up any messed up regions that aren't worth being cleaned up by mod rollback, or some minor griefing that can easily be fixed around spawn.
Currently amending my application with a DJ application.
Qualifications: Currently I have a large collection of music, that ranges mostly in the video game world, as well as a number of anime themes, and a few oldies. Basically a geeky collection. I love to tinker around with various music playing programs as well, and learning about the many ways to make a music playlist work. Hopefully those studies help out in making for a better DJ
Why you deserve this position: I love the genre of music that corresponds with Video game music, ever since I was a child. I was second/first chair as a trumpet instrumentalist in high school. I also plan on learning about how to be a DJ, since I'm currently a groupie for a friend of mine who does shows for the Charity organization M.E.S.A.
Availability: Whenever I get off work, usually after 11PM Central Time. On my days off, on Mondays and Tuesdays, I usually play minecraft all day once I wake up at noonish. If I do get a time slot for DJing, it'll most likely be after midnight, Central time.
Anything else you wish to add: I always try to learn as much as i can about becoming a better moderator, through irl experiences as a staffer at conventions, or through customer service jobs, helping out with my friends on the game itself, and teaching others about the server mechanics as best as I can.
