About Yourself: I love music, and it makes up a big part of my life. I play the trumpet and I am in our school's chorus. I listen to a lot of different types of music and could offer new kinds of music to the people of Minerealm that they might not have known existed.
Qualifications: Although I don't have any broadcasting experience I am a good public speaker (all really depends what I am talking about though) and I know a lot of artists. I am quite open minded when it comes to music, so I will offer a wide variety of music. I would love to take requests from the audience too; getting them involved is key.
Why you deserve this position: Well, I fell that I deserve this position because I do know a lot about music and a bit of stuff about broadcasting with computers. I really think this would be a great opportunity. I just got out of school for the summer today, so time isn't to much of an issue.
Availability: Well, over the summer I am going to be working hard at a greenhouse. I am going to say that 3 or 4 P.M. till about, eh, 10:30 P.M. depending on my Tech Crew schedule, though that is a rare occasion in the summer. On weekends I should be fine. I am going on vacation a few times this year. I will be gone for two weeks in July, but I am almost certain that I will still be able to broadcast from there... not sure though.
Anything else you wish to add: I feel I would be very good at this position. I would love to introduce Minerealm to types of music they might not have heard before. I feel getting the audience involved is key. Without audience interaction the show gets boring. Having people "call" in to recommend songs, or discuss the server is just part of the experience. The only thing with that though is the call in system. I would assume a type of Skype thing for song recommendations, but for discussions, not so good because the audience might not hear them. Either way, this sounds like an amazing opportunity that I would like to experience.
Thanks for your time!
