About Yourself:
I enjoy working with computers, and at school I have over 100% in AP comp sci (Java). I am going to be a systems administrator at my school next year, and help keep our Gentoo Linux workstations running. I read a fair amount of hard science fiction, like David Brin. I use steam for most of my gaming other than minecraft, and my favorite steam games are TF2 and CS:S.
Qualifications: (feel free to list any experience, including but not limited to private server work)
I don't have much experience with game server running, but I built a professional solaris server for my Aunt's company where I worked over the summer. I am also learning more about networking and server maintenance from the sys admins at school.
I have never been a moderator for anything before, but there is always a first time for everything.
Why you deserve this position:
I have been playing on this server since I got Minecraft working on my computer, which would be in the middle of original creative. I have experience and know the rules well. I like to help people out, and being a mod I'll be able to do this officially. I actually monitor the chat while playing, and will respond when needed (which hasn't always happened to me :P). I always try to answer people when they ask questions like: "how do I get kits?", "can a mod tp me to my friend?", and "how do I set my home?".
I would always be helpful, and never abuse the power of a mod.
Availability:
I can't guarantee that I'll be online all the time but I'll try to be online for maybe at least 2 hours on weekdays and a lot on Saturday.

I just realized that I didn't talk about Minecraft at all! About how I play:
-I'm kind of a perfectionist, so my houses are almost always symmetrical
-I love to break into other people's houses, find their secret chests, and then give them stuff, most of the time in a pattern in their chests :D
-I try to fix people's houses when they are griefed (removing water spam [more on the first creative with red faction than now], fixing walls, etc.)
