So, a few of you may remember this: http://minerealm.com/community/viewtopi ... =12&t=6439

Today, I go about exploring a little more around the cave system and I start hearing spider noises. Now, I know all of the four spawners have sufficient light, so the spider noises can't be coming from there...

I explore a little more, following the noises and trying to find the source. Luck behold, ANOTHER spawner! :O This now makes 5 spawners, yes 5!, in a rather small area indeed!

The picture below shows the spawners ringed in red. The distance between them in straight lines is marked out with black lines and labelled with white writing.

#1 = Zombie Spawner @ Y:23
#2 = Zombie Spawner @ Y:18
#3 = Spider Spawner @ Y:18
#4 = Cave Spider Spawner @ Y:23
#5 = Cave Spider Spawner @ Y:18

Thoughts?

You could possibly turn #1 & #4 into a double spawner, same with #2 & #3.

It doesn't look like you've got more than 2 doublespawners, and a single spawner. You have to be within 17 blocks of each spawner (I think) for them to spawn monsters, so I doubt there's 3 or 4 that can spawn at the same time, even if they are on the same y-height. So to sum up, I don't think its worth alot, but double spawners are ofc worth something, since you can lvl up twice as fast as normal. Maybe about 20k or 30k, but I'm not really sure =)

As for turning them into grinders or what not, I think two double grinders and a single are the best way to go myself.

But the thread is about finding 5 spawners so close together...

I've found six as close, on mine realm, I think.

Four in a line, and two more a tiny bit farther. Problem was they were on four corners of different realms... So very inefficient realm wise.

Valid information. Max distance from player to spawner to keep a spawning active = 17 blocks
Also keep in mind that dues to the server despawning mobs that are close to each other, tripple spawners are only slightly more efficient than double spawners. Well found.
