Yeah, I don't think there's anything possible to minimize the catastrophe this eruption would mean. Except completely migrating to space/another planet. Preferably without volcanoes..

And to you britains/russians/africans/Aquarians, this will not affect just the US. The whole world will practically stop as the ash moves to britain, causes temperature instabilities (Meaning it'll be colder than usual) as well as causing major food problems due to Cuba, The entire US/most of Canada, and Mexico being covered in smothering ash.
