I don't like the idea of marriage in general, but that's just me. I don't care either way. I have mixed relationships in my school everywhere, but I don't care.

I have seen people who are married to people of mixed nationalities and couldn't be happier. There is nothing wrong with it. Everyone is human after all.

The issue isn't so much nationality but more one of cultural differences - one of the biggest cultural influences being religion. It may not impact upon the couple directly but you can bet your little white picket fence that once in-laws and grandparents get involved mixing takes on a whole different meaning. Yes, I am married in a mixed race relationship and have 17 years of interesting cross-cultural stories. Having children and then deciding how you want to bring them up vs your cultural backgrounds is also a HUGE topic

Seen many people that are mixed nationality marriages, and it seems to me that they have the same problems that any other marriage would have. Yet, I still disagree with a marriage unless both people truly believe they will never divorce, and have no sense of not being with each other forever. If not, then what is the point in marriage at all.

I have two points I would like to make.

First, I have no problem having a discussion that is political as long as it is civil. In keeping with this prior statement, I will come down on anyone who turns it into a flame war like a 10 ton ban hammer dropped from orbit.

Second, I question the intentions of the OP, seeing as he just joined, filled out his country as Ethiopia, added an interest of Basketball, and his signature contained a link to a online store, much like what a spammer would do. I suspect this is a spam account designed to at least partly look legitimate.

If anyone has any real interest in continuing this debate, feel free to continue it, just keep point number 1 in mind.
