Since joining MineRealm not too long ago, I have realised some changes that I would make too the server if I owned the server. The one that I think would benefit players most would be the introduction
of a /warp or /goto command to transport players between towns and major settlements. For example:

/warp Abyssus

Would teleport the player to Abyssus.

In the case of towns/settlements which have a sign up policy meaning you cannot enter the town unless you are on an approved list of people, I think that a player warping to that town should either:

1. Be warped to an area near by, but not in the city (e.g. Town lobby)

Or

2. Be told "You do not have permission to use this command" if that player is not an inhabitant of that particular settlement.

Or

3. Be asked to input a password e.g:

/warp Abyssus <PasswordHere>

The problems I see with these ideas are that:

On idea 2, an inhabitant of that private settlement's friend would not be able to warp to that private settlement, even if they just wanted to help.

And

On idea 3, A community password would be a bad idea because the password would be leaked out too easily, and the only way I can see round this problem is by each individual having a separate password.

Also over all, this may be a problem because, I believe the server is a CraftBukkit server and I do not know if there is a plugin or way of implementing this idea.

Unless they re-implemented set multiple /spawn points again this isn't going to happen I'm afraid.

Firstly MineRealm is about being as close to vanilla as possible. Warp points are not vanilla.
Secondly this is why we, as a community, have set up a map-wide subway network.
Thirdly Nether travel.

We tried to stop people from being able to just warp around anywhere because this is a vanilla server, or is at least trying as hard as it can to be one. We stretched it a little with /spawn, /trade and /home, and I'm pretty sure that is as far as Intelli wants to go.
It's a cool idea, but... It'll probably be rejected.
I sort of liked the password thing, and you could be careful to only share it with people you know who can keep a secret. Also, the city owner would have the ability to change it at will, right? So if a password gets abused and leaked, set up a new one, and then only tell people who are trustworthy.

Perhaps it could also be implemented that after the password they could insert the name of a guest (or a few) to take along. The first player goes instantly, and as soon as the guest(s) type /yes they come too. No password leakage, and you could invite as many people as you wanted.

Sadly, this all hinges on an accepted marking.

Everyone has their own opinions, but I understand what you mean about staying as much like vanilla as possible. If I wanted to be really annoying I could say you can, in a way, create warp points using command blocks :). Anyway my reasoning is that at the moment I am regaurly commuting between my spawn plot and Abyssus,and every time I do this it take 5mins and an entire food bar (For the nether route anyway).I have only used the subway once but got horribly lost, but I will use what's been built first before asking for new things. I would be happy to help improve transport around MineRealm, whatever that may be.

Using /home and /spawn in combination can save a lot of running. Set your home in Abyssus, since it's farther from spawn, so that you have access to that point at any time. When you need to get to Abyssus, you can then instantly travel there with /home instead of needing to run all the way there from spawn. When you need to get to a plot near spawn, you can /spawn to get close and then just run the rest of the way, rather than running the entire distance from Abyssus to spawn.

As for helping improve transport, it's true that the subway is a bit confusing and inconsistently designed. However, after the recent public land wipe that disrupted the subway, Kerovon is working on a renovation. Read the thread here to see the currently available subway routes and perhaps get some ideas on how you can contribute to the rebuilding effort.

If I owned the server, I'd give myself a million credits, but you don't see me making a suggestion for that. Well, okay, I did, but it wasn't serious.

Your suggestion would be quite non-vanilla, violate MineRealm convention, and remove one of MineRealm's biggest challenges (safe travel). So, no. Also, it's in chat and it doesn't have a poll, so it's invalid anyway :P

I think the realm homes in v2 were amazing, and really made it a lot easier for us to move around our things.

The only difference in 3.0-4.0 is basically instead of a command we have multiple accounts...
/guild home would be great to reimplement, and would promote the creation of more 'guild cities', kind of like what we are doing with the community city.
