I have been hosting a Pathfinder game for the last few months and I was looking for some ways to enhance my on-the-fly DM/GM skills. Two weeks ago I was browsing around on Kickstarter, I came across this project for Encounter Dice: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pyr ... o?ref=live
The basic set of dice is a quick and easy way to create an NPC on the fly, but the dice themselves can be used in a slew of more creative ways to give personality to any character. But the more I thought about it, I realized that it would be a great tool for ANYONE building a game, and that Minecraft Adventure Maps would be no exception! If you were making a map and needed to give a creative backstory to a villager or villan... if you wanted to add some lore to an enchanted item... etc. It would be perfect for table top rpg's but I think that intrepid Minecraft players could make full use of them in their own way.
So I thought I just would mention the project to all of you gamers, to see if any of you were interested in backing it too. I am in no way affiliated with the project, I am just a backer and a 2 year Minerealm veteran. If you are interested in supporting the project or just seeing what they are offering, please check them out! They have already met two of their stretch goals (with many more ahead) and they will be making an adventure dice pack in the near future!
Happy Minecrafting!
