GOOD PEOPLE OF MINEREALM, I BRING YOU TRIUMPHANT NEWS!
There are, as we speak, horses upon the server. I shall spin a yarn of how this glorious moment came to be.
[WARNING - MILD CONTENT OF THE MOST MILD KIND WITHIN. READER DISCRETION ADVISED.]
Once, not so long ago, Ryu Aurora was speaking with a new player, who he directed to forums shortly before his new tag vanished, and this player announced into the chat that he had found those awe inspiring four legged beasts of burden, donkeys... This is the tale of how glory came to Aurora©orp once more, as the prophecy foretold.
He required saddles for these creatures, but alas, Ryu was unable to provide them. Instead, he requested the coordinates for this magical location, so that he could gaze upon them himself and breathe in their magnificent stench.
The coords, given freely to the noble CEO, were -3442, 127, 3281, near the home of former reserved Staff member Shaddowdemon. He immediately set out with haste, taking the portal to within 1.5K blocks of the location with a single attempt. Wearing nothing but his trademark white suit and moccasins, and wielding his famed bow Pincushion, he sprinted with every ounce of will at his disposal to reach the promised land.
Whilst undertaking this journey, famed veteran Cjmac125 graced the server with an appearance. Long time ally to Sovereign Aurora, the two spoke at great length in private about how best to handle the situation. They concluded that obtaining quadrupeds for themselves to spread the love would be most beneficial to the server at large, and set out to do so together.
While they journeyed like tired slaves, an announcement was made. Horses had come, not just donkeys, but majestic steeds that would brave the mists of Avalon besides their masters, loyal servants of the Master Race.
Joy filled the hearts of the exalted lords, and they hastened their grueling pace to a fevered pitch, dashing across the land in a manner akin to the creatures they so fervently sought.
Reaching the land, they noted the creatures, and sadly, Ryu was mistaken for a terrorist initially, being called a "griefer in diamond boots with a diamond sword".
Appalled by this accusation, Ryu nevertheless kept his calm, and soon explained that he wore diamond moccasins and carried his unnamed blade openly as a symbol of his office, with his glorious bow Pincushion on his back, quiver ready to be drawn upon to slay any foul beast that would dare harm the fine animals he quested for.
Cj reached the land first, and found a stray donkey wandering helplessly lost in the desert, dehydrated and scared by the hostile earth around him. Slaying the zombies and skeletons that beset the terrified animal with precision and a flair for the amazing, Cj tamed and led the creature back to them, to show them his conquest and new ally. During his journey to meet with Ryu, and the finders of the creatures so adored by the community, he came upon a horse in need of an owner. Lost near the desert, leading a horse with no name from the back of Princess Gerald the 8th, he came across Ryu who had wandered astray from the land after a misadventure with a horse owned by Glidkil, the new player Ryu so lovingly guided, and happycreeper1513, who was the misinformed individual who accused the noble CEO of terrorism. It is worth noting, that this horse he attempted to sit upon so that he might preview the ecstasy himself before dismounting, was never saddled. It was unowned, as were all of them.
When Cj the Kind came across Sovereign Aurora, he showed this horse he'd found to him, and Ryu wept, so overcome by it's unrivaled speed and coat he was. At this point, Glidkil arrived, claiming the unbroken, unsaddled horse to be his.
Clearly a misunderstanding, Cj advised Ryu to mount the creature, and to bring it's power to himself to settle this dispute. Ryu braved the horse many times, thrown from it's back again and again.
Covered in dust, and ignoring the argument and shouting around him, he threw himself on it's back one last time, and the nameless horse recognized a kindred spirit, allowing the CEO to mount him and see him as this individual saw him.
Placing a saddle upon the horse, Ryu was the first to have broken and saddled a horse and he titled it Benedict Arnold Esquire, with Cj having already taken the title for himself for the donkeys, as neither Glidkil nor happycreeper1513 had actually saddled their finds yet.
Further disagreements arose, and fearing for the safety of his mount, Cj and Ryu attempted to flee with their stallions. Cj, being a natural in the saddle, escaped swiftly, but Glidkil managed to lasso Benedict Arnold Esquire, and would not allow Ryu to escape, demanding the horse.
Ryu cracked inside, thinking of what they asked of him and his newest ally. They demanded rights to his horse, so that Ryu and B.A. Esquire would experience heartbreak of the deepest kind.
B.A. Esquire would not allow himself to be parted from Ryu however, and indicated, as horses can, that he would rather die than give into this treacherous plan. Ryu, fighting back tears, announced that he would slay the creature rather than lose him. However, it was Glidkil, astoundingly, who announced a counter suggestion.
Clearly regretting his actions, but unwilling to surrender what he viewed as his, he offered the idea to breed Benedict Arnold Esquire, and then leave Ryu and the creature in peace.
Ryu rubbed B.A. Esquire's flank in an unspoken question, and a twitch of an ear later, it was silently agreed.
They followed Glidkid to his mountain lair, past the mare that Ryu had ridden earlier, and into a pen. There, B.A. Esquire was led to the nameless mare and proceeded to father the race vigorously, so that his offspring would have a strong foundation for the future.
The deed completed, Ryu Aurora contacted Cjmac125 and planned a rendezvous for the Princess Gerald the 8th and Benedict Arnold Esquire, so that the lands might also contain mules.
And so you have the tale of how Ryu Aurora was the first to tame and saddled a horse, and allowed Benedict Arnold Esquire to father those that you shall see in the future. You know how Cjmac125, staunch ally of kindness, animals, and The Lord High Sovereign CEO of Aurora©orp tamed and saddled the first donkey, and led the nameless horse from the desert to his generous master.
