Do you remember the original Leap of Faith? Then it's your chance to get involved!

Currently 'Leap of Faith 2.0' is in the design process but I would like to know what YOU would like to see in the new designs.

Would you like to see the original return?
Would you like more than one Leap of Faith?
Would you like it world height?

I'm leaving it up to you!

All thoughts, ideas and wants shall be considered throughout the design process. I shall be drip feeding screenshots of the design process within this thread over time. Hopefully, I shall get 2.0 up and running within a few weeks so best get your ideas in fast!

Go go go!

I would like to see it made automatic with a diamond-hopper system, made random with a system that uses pistons to constantly change up which side is deadly, and, most of all, be mine.

~dlgn

p.s It is currently nonprofitable, because the chance of them winning multiplied by their gain factor is one. As such, it isn't profitable for the owners or the players.

Yeah.

And I would love to see the original one, identical with a few new blocks.

Hmm..... if you want to go full auto like some of the suggestions here's exactly how I would do it:

1. Player puts items in hopper. Until a diamond goes through, the hopper accepts items and throws them back. Once there is a diamond, the system throws back the rest of the items it has including any other diamonds and doesn't accept any more. After all the items are thrown out, the door opens.
2. The player goes through the door and steps on a pressure plate immediately after that closes the door. Note that the hopper still is not accepting items, it is waiting for the player to finish.
3. The player tries to jump into the hole and lands either in the hole or on an area layered completely with stone pressure plates, which looks ugly but is a necessity to prevent for example one person putting in a diamond and 10 people going through the door.
4. If the player lands on the floor with pressure plates, he dies and the hopper will now accept items, ready for another player. If the player lands in the hole, and maybe goes through some other obstacles like redirecting him/herself throughout the air to fall through narrower holes on the way down, and reaches the bottom, they win 2-4 diamonds determined randomly (or some other incentive, it's up to you. Maybe a signed book by you which they redeem for a cash prize? That would be cool :) ) and the hopper goes back to accepting items.
5. Note that when the player goes through the door, they have 15 seconds to jump before they get a bucket o' lava to the face >:) and the system resets. The same with players loitering at the bottom.

If this seems too complex, I'll be happy to build it free of charge :D. Anyway, just throwing some ideas at you, tell me what you think :3

Or player opens enderchest before going. Player puts items in. Solution solved :D

Update:

Still heavily in the design stage at this time, Leap of Faith 2 is quite a long way off. I haven't been able to spend as much time designing this as I would like, but, hopefully that'll change shortly.

In the mean time I have created a very simple Leap of Faith on the realm -125 -75 for you all to enjoy, or die, whilst I design and build the main attraction.

Anyway, until I have further updates on the designs, enjoy the temp jumping!
