So 2 days ago, I got a new laptop. It's insanely fast with 8 GB of ram, and 1 terabyte of hard drive. Also, it's pretty handy for listening to music since it has Beats Audio. I was mostly excited about the backlit keyboard because then I can type at night without any trouble. It is called the HP ENVY m4 Notebook PC.

The only problem was that this laptop was only to be used for school purposes. It seems like a waste to me because I believe that the specs of this PC is just too much to be just for school. Since it is only for school, I can not play any sort of games on it. This kind of makes me upset because Minecraft will probably run smoothly on this computer.

Today, I am here looking for any replies on what to do with the laptop. I can have anything on here except games. It is a Windows 8 laptop so I can get apps on it. Please suggest down below. I don't know what to do with this awesome laptop, and I really want to play around with it before summer ends. I am looking for applications, what I should add to it, any anti-virus, and plug-ins.

Lastly, I have a quick question. What browser should I use for checking my e-mail, browsing Minerealm, etc.?
I don't know whether to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. They are both great browsers, but I don't know which one to make as my default. Thanks.

Use Chrome. For an anti-virus use something like Norton, or if you're looking for a free anti-virus use malwarebytes or AVG.

Wait for your school to go bankrupt, them do what you want with the laptop. Worked for me.

Is there anything non-game related that you couldn't do because your last one was too slow? Then do it on your fast one... other than that I'm not really sure what you want.

One thing non-game related I've always wanted a fast computer for was 3D rendering for graphic design, if that helps somehow?

Don't quote me on this since I don't know what they use in particular, but I think the only way they'd be able to see you've installed something on the laptop is to remote connect into it using whatever program they use or to go over the laptop manually and look for any traces of games.

That said, if the punishment is really that extreme (I'm doubtful it is, but I'll take your word for it) then I wouldn't want to test out if my theory is true or not.

So whenever someone enters Youtube for example, it will alert whoever was in charge of the Wifi System. Then, that guy tell our principal. The principal will then look at how bad the situation was. I could get a warning, detention, suspension, or I get expelled. My parents still don't want me to add any games. Is it fine if I play games now, but I won't get in trouble when I use the PC for school? I don't mean that I will be playing during class, I mean that if I will be playing Minecraft now, will I get in trouble in school once School starts?

We don't go to your school. Does you school have an email or something you can ask them on?
