Recently I had a virus... a pretty bad rootkit. Norton didn't stop it, Malwarebytes removed a bunch of junk, but still had problems. I ended up reinstalling windows 7. I installed all of my drivers, and everything seems to be working well. However I reinstalled java and minecraft and unfortunately i'm having issues with it. Minecraft has been a bit laggy. Like every 5-8 seconds I will get a jerk like a frame loss or something. It's annoying enough for me to not even want to play. On top of this, for some odd reason if I try to connect to minerealm.com I get this error. 400 Bad Request
Invalid request. This only happens with Mozilla (which I've never seen this error before) Currently i'm using IE to write this. I'm not the best guy with computers, but I know my way around. Basically don't be afraid to suggest something technical. However don't forget some of the easiest to fix problems get overlooked. Below I will give my computer specs and what I have attempted to fix this Minecraft problem.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Completely updated)
Gigabyte Radeon 7950
Intel Core I7 3770K @ 3.50 GHz Temp Idles at 29 Celsius Liquid Cooled
16 GB Ram (9-9-9-24)
MSI Z77A-G45
119GB SSD (Windows and battlefield 3, java and minecraft installed on this)
298GB Maxtor (for everything else.)
Asus RT-N56U Wireless router
Motorola SB6121 SURFboard Cable Modem

Steps I've done to try to resolve the issue:
Reinstall Java trying both 64 and 32 bit.
Reinstall Minecraft
Updated router Firmware
Updated bios firmware + some other drivers
Updated graphics card to latest update
Cleaned/dusted all hardware
Also played around with some of the minecraft video settings but still have the same problem. With these PC Specs I shouldn't have any issues.

Thanks in advance for any possible solutions I haven't thought of. Hopefully it's something simple I neglected like a driver or something. Keep in mind everything in minecraft worked perfectly until I reinstalled windows...

Enabled advanced GL (Haven't tried this yet) and the choppiness is gone however blocks seem to load slower when you turn. Did some research and it apparently makes it easier on your GPU by storing to memory what's in front of you rather than your total surroundings. Basically utilizes more CPU and less GPU if that makes any sense.

Disabled Advanced GL, The Choppiness is still gone and everything is working perfectly. I don't know what that is all about, maybe a Minecraft glitch. Restarted minecraft and it's still running well. Hopefully that fixed it for good.
