quick question: is the person you receive the gift(s) from always the person who you give too?

almost never are they the same person, you will be given a name of someone to give to and someone else will get your name and give you a gift

This might actually be a good idea (receiving from and giving to the same person). For instance, I had someone's name last year and gave them some enchanted stuff. But no one ever contacted me for my present. If it was a one-for-one thing, then you'll know who to look for with which to trade presents. So if I get Jeniansmom, she gets me, I know that I need to rendezvous with just Jeniansmom, instead of seeking out the person I am giving to AND waiting for the person who has my name as well.

Maybe you are missing the point of a secret Santa. Your recipient should not know who they got it from. There should be a intermediary (with that in mind if you need one, I can pass on you gift for you, I am sure VVolfie would do so too).

I meant to let VV know I would like to do this again but thought I'd post my thoughts on here;


Instead of people contacting the people who they give to, it could be made that;

Presents are put around the christmas tree at spawn, (Chests will look like presents due to Mojang's awesomeness), and they will all have signs on with names of the people who signed up.
Now up until the 'opening day' people can ask VV or any others, (who she could suggest, i.e. Rokkr or other realm users), to put their gift(s) for them into their persons chest.

It may take a bit more work and stuff but it would make it more 'Secret Santa' and more fun?

(Plus various time slots could be arranged for though out prezzi days in which VV and others who have realm privs call out people who have 'booked' specific slots, and it could be fun =D)

What does everyone think? And VVolfie could this be possible? I could help with any aspects =]
