I have a hunch that the different dark and bright spots on the pony is from some of it not re-rendering after building the top part. Where there's a bright spot, I suggest placing a block there. Hopefully that causes it to re-render and it might look better.

You are correct about the rendering issue. I do plan on going through the build and trying to fix those. I still have lots of torches to place inside the build as it is a monster breeding ground and I don't want to throw off the spawn rates. If it all goes well then I'll repost a picture of it.
