Feeling Pinkie Keen is both one of my favorite episodes, and one of my least favorite. My favorite, because the humor and characterization are spot-on. My least favorite, because its moral (if you find something you can't explain, accept it and don't investigate it) makes me, as both a scientist and an enemy of religious morals in children's television, deeply uneasy. Thoughts?
Completely agree. I'm one of those people who will stop at nothing to find out how something works. The only thing I've given up on trying to figure out how the universe was made. Even if it's like Life_is_a_party said, and it's "some things don't make sense", then guess what? You figure them out :D <--- like why the hay they made that thing so scary. Pure nightmares bundled in an emoticon.

Also, it's confirmed that Twilight won't live longer than the other mane six. Either she'll die early or they're immortal. Neither option sounds too good.

Warning: weird, and possibly PG-13ish.
Spoiler:
I saw it suggested somewhere , on some picture I can't seem to find, that Fluttershy is transgendered.
I laughed.
And laughed.
Their arguments were things like "Fluttershy looked weird as a filly", "she didn't like her Flutterguy voice because it reminded her of being a boy" and "she looks like she does because the doctor thought that's what a girl should look like a made her girly to the biggest extent". Man, I wish I could find that. Everything they said has a logical argument against it. What do you guys think?

I definitely agree. Like hippoface said, I have to figure out how something works if I don't understand it, or I will go insane. It annoyed me how the ponies kept over looking it in the episode.

I saw something like this a few days ago and pretty much had the same reaction you had, I couldn't stop laughing. I never thought that until I saw people talking about it and I still really don't buy it. I don't know why, I just can't picture it. :P

And here comes to what is known as... Death of the author. Because as soon as the author/cartoonist/script writer, etc. finishes their work and releases it for public consumption that is where their influence stops and the audience and fan base begins.
Truth becomes much more fluid and subjective especially when coming into contact with some many different points of view.
I would definitely put that in the field of pareidolia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia
But that's the fun part of fandoms; being able to source material, play with it and mould it into something new (not unlike minecraft :D).

On Feeling Pinkie Keen. I love the music and background music, good work from the voice actors as usual. Classic slap stick and even some stoner humour. I love the action sequence in the episode finale.
Also the return of Derpy since the series premier for better and worse.
However these cannot save the episode from the rather dubious moral lesson and values that it unintentionally ends up promoting.
I guess I dislike it because I place myself in the rationalist camp and it's not well balanced between the science vs. faith angle. Whilst I do like some of Dave Polsky's other episodes, like Too many Pinky Pies.
Feeling Pinky Keen probably makes me feel the most uncomfortable, since it follows the trend in various american media; that science is bad and religion good.
I guess even though I'm often intuitive and subject, I prefer to rely on rationalism and the scientific method to help ground my basis in reality.

Celestia fighting Superman. A Godess with power over the sun fighting Solar powered super powered, indestructable super hero come demi god.
Not sure how this would end, but there would be a lot of collateral damage for sure.
