Now you need to set a static IP address, this is pretty easy so I won't wxplain it fully here. Just go to google and search for it.
You say put you IPv4 adress in the mc config file?
This gives me NOT ABLE TO BIND TO PORT (its the 192.168.1.1 ur talking bout here, don't think that's the correct one)
192.168.1.1 is ur default gateway. Find your computers IPv4 by using ipconfig in the cmd.

Your port forward should look like this:
Code: Select all
Opening port [25565] Closing port [25565] Protocol [TCP] IP [192.168.1.x]
The IP at the end has to be your computers ip, not your routers.

Nice one, just remember to set a static IP on your computer (preferably 192.168.1.4) so that you don't have to re-do your port forwarding every time you start your computer.

Normally computers have a static IP, and your router will changes the computer's IP address all the time. This is called a 'dynamic' IP. If you set a 'static' IP, you will never have to port forward again for minecraft.

I have a D-link router as well and instead of setting a static IP, if you look at the Network settings in the first "setup" tab of your routers setup page, There is a section named "Add-Edit DHCP Reservations" which reserves a user set IP address for your machine every time you access the router. A bit easier than fuddling around with setting a static IP address. I have a basic model Wireless N router and yours looks to be a higher tier than mine so I'm sure that option should be available to you. Just so you know. XD
