Alternate universes! In short, when a choice is made or not made (like I made the decision to say "choice" back there and not "decision"), the alternate timeline branches off and creates a new universe on a different plane of existence where the second , third, fourth, etc choice happened. That means ANYTHING you can imagine is out there.
There was a choice made so that made this world Earth and us humans. That means there's technically an alternate universe where this world is Equestria and we're all ponies and I'm having serious trouble typing with my hooves. There's also one where they watch a show called My Little Human. Food for thought
