Can't hurt to try.

FYI I linked the 2nd page in as it seems more relevant, you way want to start from the beginning of the thread though.

Also found a possible Windows hotfix for Win7
Thanks for the help bu1ld0g.
No luck with any of that though unfortunately.
I just bought a usb soundcard for like €5 so hopefully that'll work :)

Cheers.

I'm still rocking a set of creative 5.1 surround sound analog speakers I bought in 2000. Crystal clear as the day I got them.

Glad you got it all sorted though.

I have this problem with my bluetooth devices all the time (bluetooth headset, mouse and keyboard). Windows detects the device but it still does not seem to work.

I agree with Cham. You should unpair the bluetooth speakers, NOT remove the driver in the device manager. I know if you open bluetooth devices in windows 8, click on it and click the remove button that pops up it will unpair the speakers but I am not sure how to do that in windows 7. There is a bluetooth icon down in the notification area (by the clock) and clicking on that should bring up a popup menu dialog with a show bluetooth devices or something similar (look for a bluetooth symbol).

There used to be a few web sites that showed windows OS screenshots with clickable links to use to see and help guild people through the OS menus/windows. I will look for one and try to get some more specific information.

Bluetooth is a finicky connection method for the most part. Sure it works great for phones, but as a multimedia connection for computers it's just funky.

I was playing around with three Bluetooth devices tonight ... mouse, wireless headset and wireless speakers. The exact same setup worked flawlessly a couple of weeks ago but tonight I could only get two out of three ... as soon as the third connected, it would drop one of the other two :|

Got it resolved eventually by upairing ALL bluetooth devices, resetting the PC and all the devices, then repairing them one by one. No logical reason why it wouldn't before that ... it just funked out.

Honestly I believe that wired devices are the way forward.
Usually they don't require batteries and for the most part; are cheaper.

The soundcard sorted my problem out pretty rapidly, thank God.
