Epic trap.

I'm thinking you need to review the definition of the word "Epic" and the definition of the word "Trap".

I'll cover "Trap". A trap is something you set up to catch another person. In the context of calling me out, the way to make a "trap" is to have a post that manages to force me to do something I don't want to do, such as admit defeat, or reveal my in game name in a way that is impossible for me to get out of.

"Epic" is officially defined as being something that is heroic and broad in scope. Colloquially, it is something that is awesome. An "epic trap” in the colloquial sense that I assume you are using would be a trap that defeats me in some manner, and does so with a high degree of style. Unfortunately, that is not what this post is.

This post is a passable satirical mockery of one of my posts. I would not call it a "good" mockery for several reasons.

Firstly, there is a degree of laziness compared to my original post. Rick does not include hyperlinks for his reasoning, which I did include in mine, but instead just underlines the whole thing.. He could have either included the same links, with his different descriptions of what is going on in them, or he could have included links to other of dlgn's posts to support his contention.

Secondly, he doesn't emulate the style well in the Pros/Cons. I made sure I included both Pros and Cons, as ridiculous as they may have been. You should have included at least one Con, such as "Make Tal cry tears of disappointment", or some such.

Thirdly, we have to examine the impact of your post. It fails to draw in either a large quantity, or high quality of flaming. Indeed, you don't even have a favorable voting ratio.

That is not to say this is all bad. You did a good job of tweaking the content to support the contention opposite of mine, and it is clear what you were trying to mock (though maybe a link to mine would help for people who find it in the future).

Overall, I would rate this effort a C+ or maybe a B-. You have a lot of room for improvement, but you do have potential.

Oh, I thought it was an epic trap in the sense that one can not vote no without also not being a hater of puppies. I abstain... for the puppies.

The puppy trap makes a bit more sense. However, I have a counter to that.

When I was a wee tot, I was brutally savaged by a puppy. Thus, I harbor a deep seated, pathological hatred for puppies. Thank you for making my choice in the poll easier.
