It's almost like holding a grudge against the Germans. Except that that is totally reasonable ofcourse. :P
Communism is a horrible ideology; I will continue to hate it for as long as it exists in the world. As for the USSR in particular, it's a thing of the past, so the only reason it's being brought up here is because someone inexplicably decided to name their realm after it.

On a side note, I hope for their own safety that the citizens of the Soviet realm don't try to make wheat farms. Hoarding grain is a very serious crime, you know--you might end up starving less than some of your fellow citizens, and that just wouldn't be fair.

There's nothing wrong with communism itself really (the way Marx describes it at least), it's a pretty fair way to organise things. It's just people who abuse the system and become dictators that are the problem.

Even "theoretical" communism the way Marx described it, or the way communists say it's supposed to be, is bad since it harms the right to own private property. More seriously, though, it tends to make dictatorships more likely--when the collective society is valued above individuals, it naturally follows that individuals' rights and even lives will be considered less valuable in the eyes of the regime.

That's why I would prefer socialism. I think its absurd that the rich get richer, while the poor.. well, stay poor. How are they supposed to have a chance if they don't have the resources available to them to even try, or even if they could access minimal resources, theres a good chance of the person having no motivation to even try, as they see all of those wealthy people around them having easy lives. I had to study a lot about Sweden's economy for a business class.. they're a socialist nation, but damn, they have a great economy, great government, and great quality of life. None of the downsides of communism as we've all seen it in the past, and everyone gets a fair shot, and for those that work extremely hard, they are rewarded with a little more earnings. Its socialism, with a hint of capitalism. But a purely capitalist nation, such as the US.. I'm not a fan. And I live here. I feel that it causes way to much influence with the government and people/organizations with money. Things like lobbying, for instance.. it's notorious here. And it's partially the result/side effect of capitalism. Yes, I believe people should be rewarded for their work. But I don't think they should be able to sidestep laws, taxes, and even indirectly control lawmakers because they have money.

And that's all I'll say about capitalism.
